Big Dream: Testing with Bob Hartley, Leonard Jones

I know that this one is significant. Interestingly enough, today was snuggle day, so I laid in bed with Laura rather than getting up at 4 whatever. Her alarm went off around 5:55 with “There’s only grace” playing on her clock radio alarm.

I dreamed that I was in a classroom. Leonard Jone was passing out tests.

There were all kinds of people taking the tests. Even little kids. A buddy of min was next to me. The tests were yellow.

Bob Hartley was at the front giving out instructions, but I was having a hard time hearing him. I was seated in the back of the classroom, and the air conditioner or some other mechanical system was making all of this noise. So, it was a struggle to hear.

As I was taking the test, I kept thinking that I wasn’t going fast enough. I would run out of time. And, I was concerned that I didn’t know the answers. I was also worried about having to take it again. I was looking over at my buddy trying to figure out if I were on pace or falling behind.

Suddenly, a guy (I think that it was Leonard) is standing next to me. He says that he would only come back here once and that I could ask him two questions.

I wasn’t sure what to ask.

I recall working through the first page with difficulty. There were questions on gun load ratios. Then, I saw that I had missed a question simply by overlooking it. So, I had to go back up and fill in questions that I missed. It was hard.

Then, my mother is in the dream. She tells me that she met with Andy Stanley that day and that it went very well.

Just to make it more fun, this is today’s Small Straws.

Bob Hartley is the hope dude.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

Your recent situations have been a testing ground.  This is a prime time for you to learn from your mistakes as well as from the things you have done right.  Pay attention to the hardships and the victories.  Both are equally important to your spiritual positioning.  My desire is for you to see and understand the difference between walking in the Spirit and living in the flesh, says the Lord.

Romans 5:3-4  And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
