Email Exchange with Rich Harris while I try to sort through all that God is doing.
Awesome to hear from you. I will tell you that this is as hard as I can remember. I have been facing all kinds of emotions, questions, etc.
The LORD continues to tell me to take it day by day and to walk by His Spirit. Wow.
I moved out of Jack’s old place this am. Was hard there too. Kinda creepy. No furniture or nothing in an empty house. I slept on my air mattress in his old room. I move in with him today for a few days. We are thinking 12 days. Jack isnt high on everything. He wants me to have a job and a place of my own.
I dont disagree. He is hot on me being here with him.
So, I am starting to reach out to folks in Franklin. I went to that church there yesterday. The presence of God was strong in service #2. They preached on apostles. It was speaking to me big time. I believe that is home.
I have a couple meetings coming up and am pretty much applying to any job I can somewhat fit into. I need stability in jobs for potential housing. It’s no wonder that folks want you with income…lol.
God is really working on me hearing Him for myself. It is a big deal. I didnt realize how messed up I had gotten. Laura did some damage, if I am honest. I havent spoken to her since I left. I just pray for her.
Anyway, I love you. Thanks for praying.
I pray for you as well. God bless you, bro.
Grace

Sounds like a good word to me. As I am in a similar position. Now renting a room with (kitchen and bath sharing) for 2500 NIS per month. The house is owned by a religious guy (Baptist) who follows John McArthur and that group – we had a few words last night at Shabbat dinner. Wow two different worlds……………..!!!
Tiki closed the BNB as I shared a couple months ago. She now lives about 1.5 kilometers from me and works 3 blocks away. Now we text and talk on the phone. I am looking into taking an Ulpan (Hebrew language course where only Hebrew is spoken and written). I will apply for the one year course so that I can possibly get a One year visa here.
This is not from God directly – but I think you should get into that church He has shown you, build relationships. As far as work goes be led directly by the Holy Spirit. Personally I would go for full time work something you can do and enjoy without making it a career based thing.
Bless you bro – you are in my prayers,
Rich – Pastor X
Hi John,
Nice to hear from you. It will be tough from time to time but God work’s in us during those times, because we are eager to hear from Him. I have a couple concerns for prayer. One I need to get back in the country for at least another 3 months as my visa expires September 8. I want to move into the Arad apartment on September 1. The current renter says she will leave on that date – pray she does. The Arad apartment will be cheaper than the room I currently rent here.
Tiki and I seem to be getting closer since the closure of the BNB. We had a beautiful dinner out on Sunday night after she got off work. We both acknowledged that we liked being together – she is a special lady from God. I am just thankful to be with her from time to time. Pray that we both hear God clearly about our relationship. She is amazing in her love for God – I so respect that!
My friend I believe you are making a good move to be with your son for a time. God has the plan already drawn and He will reveal it to at the very right time. The next move will be easier – remember the job is not a career move but something you do well and enjoy! I believe it will have something to do with your love of the outdoors, nature, etc. or just smoking a cigar……………..LOL.
Love you dude,
Rich
