Jack and I camped up near Leadville. It was good. We had a good time together.
He still accuses and judges me. I hear a lot of Laura in his words. Man, I am glad to be apart from her.
But, I hate it for him. God help him! He is still in the swamp. Come out of the swamp, Jack! Come out now!
God, help him.
So, we had a tough walk up Mt. Elbert but at the top, God gave me words to speak over and bless him. It was prophetic.
The journey up was hard, but at the top,, there was much blessing.
He’s an amazing young man.
Climbing Mt. Elbert was very cool. it is 14,400 feet high. 444 right there! Only God can do that.
We gained 4,700 feet in elevation over 4 miles. That’s 1,000 feet per mile. Wow!
No wonder I needed more fluid whan I had and am sore two days later.
There was lots of smoke. But, the views were still amazing.
We took a prettty fast pace too.
I do think my first and last 14’er might be that one – at least to the degree of that climb. It was 13.8 miles round trip.
