God gave me a dream on 3/16/26. He commissioned me to preach the word on authority to lead into equipping folks to do the work in the power of God. It came with the demonstration of the power as backup to the word. Jesus said “go”. Here is that message:
Matt 21:23-27
In the temple area (ie the church of their day), the chief priests came to Him and questioned His authority to “do these things”.
When you move in power, hell gets nervous. The religious spirit denies the Presence. And, in the Presence, we find the power of God.
Jesus doesnt need to give the religious an explanation for anything. It’s funny how the religious think they are owed an explanation and an account, even from God.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me”. That’s what Matt 28 says.
“Who gave You this authority?” demanded the pharisees in Matt 21.
“All authority” Jesus says.
If He has ALL, then He is LORD over all. And, when the LORD tells you to go, you go. when He tells you to come. You come. The centurion got this. So do demons.
So why dont we?
Is Jesus truly LORD?
In verse 19, He says “go, therefore”.
Because I am LORD, I have the authority to command you. Now GO!”
It’s “therefore”. It’s connected to His ability to do that. He can command because He has all authority.
Go, therefore.
And, do what?
- Make disciples – students not converts. Students.
- Baptise them
When awakening comes, and so many are getting saved, we need to school them. It’s more than knowledge. We dont want religion, and that is what knowledge without Presence produces. Discipling is more than knowledge. It leads people into a growing relationship with God, with the Presence of Almighty God, who is real, speaks, listens, loves.
Disciple them.
- show them
- teach them, heal them, deliver them
- Bring them into the Presence
- equip them
- empower them
- encourage them
- let them do the stuff
- let them tell the great things that God has done for them
- mature them
So the conversion experience is something we have missed. Same with discipleship and Ephesians 4. So many people think it’s their job to save people. That work belongs to Holy Spirit. He convicts of sin. He empowers us. By grace through faith we have been saved.
By grace.
Definitely not by trying to convince people or argue religious arguments with people. The kingdom is of power not words.
So, God saves them. We disciple. We unify, grow/mature and equip. That is the Ephesians 4 mandate to the fivefold. And, yes, not all are in an office.
But, God works through people at all levels. The grace on an evangelist leads many to the LORD. He also has the ability to produce in kind and grow up other evangelists. Maturity as one involved in evangelism knows and discerns when God is moving to save a person and partners with that. You do not have to be an evangelist to partner with God to win souls. We are instruments in His hand, and we get to see amazing things happen because of it.
God saves. We disciple. And since God works through people, that messes some folks up when we start looking around. We see the depravity of man, his faults, etc. and disqualify them because we know who they are. The Jews did it to Jesus. “Isnt that Jospeh’s son? The carpenter?”
It’s all pride and a failure to recognize just how much God does the operating. He uses the foolish things to confound the wise. Dont fall into the trap of judging someone just because you know them. If God picks them, that’s enough.
The LORD has all authority.
And, if Jesus says go, we go.
But, He adds to it.
“AS YOU GO”, He says in Matt 10:7.
As you go:
- Preach the kingdom is near. You are all preachers.
- Demonstrate this truth.
- heal the sick
- raise the dead
- cleanse the leper
- cast out demons
It’s a gift to you. Now, you give it away.
You see, God truly moves through us. And, when a blind peson gets healed, when the dead come back to life. When that spirit of torment leaves forever, we dont need to have a religious argument on whether there is a God.
You just experience the kingdom because it is at hand. It is here.
So, now you have the crisis. Did you or did you not just experience God?
The demonstration of power gives you a front row seat to a living God who loves you, has mercy on you and wants you.
When Holy spirit shows up, He moves. and He IS the power of God. Things cant help but happen. It is His nature.
Jesus commands it. So, we move in His name. The name of Jesus is ours to prove the truth. It’s the name above every name. It’s the name with all authority. We use that name and it all changes. “All authority belongs to Me, He says. Now, GO and do the stuff. In My name…” The kingdom is near. God’s dominion is His kingdom.
Jesus is King of kings.
He has the name above all. And, He commissions us to use that name as we Go.
When He says go, we go. When He says preach, we preach. When He says heal, raise, cleanse and cast out, that’s what we do.
He doesnt say to beg God to do those things. He says, “as YOU go… do those things.” We have been given a mandate to do the work. For so long, we pray prayers asking God to do something He already told us to go do. Do we believe? We certainly do a good job rationalizing our unbelief. If you want to know why you dont see the miracles, jsut start right there.
God said go do it. We turn and say, “God, would you please do it?” Then we say it must not be His will. He is just trying to teach me something. God gave me this sickness as a thorn in my flesh. LIES.
Jesus said. Go. Do.
We partner with God to do the work. We preach the kingdom. We demonstrate power. He backs us up. He equips us. He empowers us.
Jesus says it. Holy Spirit gives us the power to act.
Miracles happen. The supernatural is released.
THIS brings many into the Kingdom. They have seen the false, but now they see the truth.
Because Jesus is the truth. And the way – the only way to the Father.
And, today, we shall see this very power on display. Because the Kingdom is at hand.
