God is really making a poitn about my selfish ambition and failure to listen to the counsel of others.
Andy started a new series called “Destinations”. The entire message was convicting. I bless God for His teaching. This was a hard lesson to learn. I wish my eyes were opened sooner. Proverbs 7:6-27
I could be mistaken, but I really believe that God allows us to fall with the intent on teaching us. No matter. I praise Him for this.
Now, I turn my sights to finding the job. That came together in the last couple of weeks. Today, I will talk with Marge Bieler about doing telemarketing p/t. It was funny – I had a call scheduled with her for 2pm Friday. Well, I went to a networking meeting Friday am, and her partner was there. Crazy. I heard the name RareAgent and kept wondering where I heard that name. When the light bulb clicked, I just knew that God had to be doing something. So, we meet today. I can work with her 20 hours/week. Thats 1,600/mo, which helps tons. I feel that God is in it. i certainly dont want to disobey.
Lord, help me to:
1) love, cherish and honor Laura!
2) get the job!
3) listen to You through other people that You bring
I need to let Colorado and all the ministry stuff die. Laura is not on board (as my wife). That is telling – especially now. I shall give that up in my heart.
