Dream | Commissioned to Preach

I believe this dream to be significant.

I dreamed I was at my home, but it also seemed that we were at some kind of church. Some folks came and were wanting to do church. They started filling in my home and told me I was going to preach. I kept thinking/saying I needed God to show up on us. We were going to see the power.

As I was preparing and changing my clothes more and more folks were showing up. It got super crowded, and I hadnt started. Some of the church leaders were coming to me. One guy got up to announce me. I was walking through the crowds.

I prayed the release of Holy Spirit on some man.

I prayed for a man who was holding a baby in the back. The baby was hidden under his shirt. I didnt know what was wrong.

More and more people came in. It didnt look like my house, which is where we started coming in. There were two stories of people now. So many people, and I still hadnt started.

As I was getting ready to preach, it started raining. I guess this place had no roof now. People were ducking out for cover.

I spoke to the rain and commanded it to stop. At first, it stoped around me. As I walked around, there was no rain falling on me wherever I went. Then, I commanded it again, and it cleared out. Church was going to begin again.

I started preaching, and there were so many people I had to walk around just so folks in different areas could hear me. I couldnt tell how many there were, but it was a ton.

I wanted to preach on authority. The scripture about John’s baptism was my starting point.

Matthew 21:23-27 New American Standard Bible

Authority Challenged

23 When He entered the temple area, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him while He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?” 24 But Jesus responded and said to them, “I will also ask you one [a]question, which, if you tell Me, I will also tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 The baptism of John was from what source: from heaven or from men?” And they began considering the implications among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’ 26 But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the [b]people; for they all regard John as a prophet.” 27 And answering Jesus, they said, “We do not know.” He also said to them, “Neither am I telling you by what authority I do these things.

But, that was only to lead into Jesus having all authority and commanding us to go.

Matthew 28:17-19 New American Standard Bible

17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some [a]were doubtful. 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 [b]Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Which was leading into Matt 10, where we are commanded to do the work.

Matthew 10:7-8New American Standard Bible

And as you go, [a]preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

And, there was to be a demonstration of this, but I woke up. It was a release of the people to do the work as much as preaching.
