I am not sure what God has done these days. Today concludes my fast. I have gotten a response from Chuck at Emerald Software, but I had a discussion with Glenn Stephens of Prosoft Solutions. They are hiring a sales guy to sell into ministries and non-profits. This would be awesome except the money isnt great. Well, the base isnt great. But, I could make 120-150k, which would be more than fine.
So, what is God telling me? As I woke up this am, I felt pressed that a base is necessary. Laura needs it. I probably need it. We made 101k last year and squeeked by, so that gives us a good floor to income. It’s crazy to think that you cannot live in this area on 100k. What are we doing wrong? I dont think that we had all that much extravagance going on. The 324 jeep payment is now gone. But, our house payment was around 1,400, which is probably 500 less than what we could expect now. Is our area just that expensive or are we blind? Lord, please help me see it.
I plan on reaproaching Glenn with the qualifier that we need 60k base and 120k on plan with upside of 150-180k. If that is doable, then I very much want to pursue this. I hate making things about money. Father, am I ruling something out over mammon?
I will talk with Laura on this to see what she thinks. It almost feels tempting to pursue this job because of whom they sell to. I do like Glenn and his spirit. This has added a layer of confusion to my pile, and confusion doesnt come from God.
Lord God, please guide me with Your Spirit on this matter. Give me wisdom. Let Her enter my life.
