Bob and I met today. He is out of work, and I wanted to pray with him. Well, Jesus had something else in mind. He had me ask the proverbial question about what a person would remove if Jesus could take just one event from their life. Bob said that when he was 11, he was given money by his grandmother (they raised him) to buy Christmas presents. Well, Bob didnt have enough left over for his grandmother. He told her, and she was gracious. However, the enemy put a lie into Bob that lasted 35 years. This led to Bob feeling that he must perform to be loved. He has been at it ever since. Well, I asked Bob if he had ever apologized to her and sought her forgiveness and forgiven himself. He said no. And then the bomb went off. Bob remembers that its her birthday. Ha! Jesus has a present today. Yea God. We both started crying. Well, he knew to call that lady up and get that forgiveness. I knew that the oppression was done with. Bless God.Here’s his response via email:
Thanks John for you reaching out, an spending time with me.
I called my grandmother, wished her a Happy Birthday, apologized for my actions and asked for forgiveness. She said that she was very proud of me and that she loved me very much. She forgave me, but said there was no need to forgive me because of how much she loved me, and again repeated how much of a blessing I have been in her life.
WOW…
Bob

It’s funny how we got our dates confused.
It’s also cool how Jesus WILL come and heal our past hurts.
I bless you. He LOVES you.
Peace
