From Wesley

Grace is great. Love is even better. Wesley and I are working on this issue created by Matt on building Wesley’s site. I have been working on paying for it and will cover the costs. My heart is to reach a point where it is up and running and a clean break. I really just want closure. But, I want it to be done in a manner worthy of the LORD and in a way that goes beyond what Wesley expects.

Here is the thread:

Thank you Man of God for your comments. I am eternally grateful to you being a witness UNTO Him in all I have known of you.
Thank you for your total submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit in your daily life. You have worn the emblem of a disciple beyond reproach. I am thankful that God yet have prophets who have not bow to Baal.
My intention in getting back with you is because of the witness in my spirit that you are a son of the living God. You have proven that belief beyond measure.
I am satisfy, even if you do not pay a dime towards the project. Your willingness has earned my adoration and God’s approval.
The reason I am sending Rob a list of what I wanted is to rely on his expertise.
First, I don’t know the capability of his platform and unless I ask, opportunity to take advantage of those features will be missed.
On the other hand, Rob is not privy to my marketing needs and desires expressed to Matt over several months of design development interactions. My requests are ways to bring some of these issues to him.
Definitely, I know some of this request will involve additional costs which I am willing to cover. I am sure that  the only way Rob can quote me additional charge is to know what I desire.
In conclusion, I am not expecting you to pay beyond what you committed to pay. As we discussed earlier, I would rather you don’t pay anything because your willingness and the fact that you connected us with Rob was sufficient.
I continually thank you for your love for God and the favor that came through His grace. I will in no way, abuse God’s grace.

Thank you for being whom you are.

Hey Wesley,

I think that we are entering into a few areas that are testing the boundaries of what is right with me covering the cost of this site. But first know, I will do whatever is right in the eyes of you and the LORD. Please know that. I want my name associated with integrity and honor, and when you think of me, you think most highly of our God. Whatever it takes to restore the wrong done to you, I want to make happen.

But, I also want to be diligent in making sure that things are where they should be. I certainly remember the link for Streaming Faith and the commerce component. But, I do not recall the social member Intranet and video archiving of your sermons (not that that wasnt brought up). YDO does not typically do video storage and definitely not video serving like Streaming Faith. If we need to build a page to show links to video located on Streaming Faith, then I will cover the cost for it to be delivered. You can always upload video to Vimeo or YouTube and link to archive sermons that way if Streaming Faith doesnt have an option. Maybe, Rob has another idea. Maybe, he has a low-cost answer where sermons could be stored. Rob, please help here.

As for the mass email. That is a monthly service that you will have to pay for. The costs are relatively minor. Please let Rob know how many emails you will distribute each month, and he will tell you how much it costs.

If you would let me know on what is right on all of this, I will get with Rob on paying for it. Wesley, you have the final say.

Rob, please get with Wesley on providing the link to Streaming Faith, and let me know what I owe for that.

Thanks and peace to you all.

Peace & Favor,

John J. Stein

Hi Wesley,

You’re right, I haven’t seen anything in those regards. A couple notes:
– Video doesn’t function in email in any platform. You can link a still image to a video that is contained on your website.
– Social Networking is almost integrated, will be done next week.
– E-Commerce is nearly integrated (we will need the payment processor information shortly)

The other items can be implemented in the site. I’d recommend launching first with the existing functions so launch is not delayed, and then building in the others.

I’ll get with you next week with requests for more info.

Thanks,

There are other things requested that I’m not sure he incorporated into what he sent you which some of them may be a function of his design platform.
• Embedded script to allow video email
• Link to Streaming Faith portal to watch video on demand.
• Ability to archive my sermons on my site to be watched on the site.
• Intranet for social networking by members.
• E – Commerce
• Capability for mass email ( list serve)

If you can provide us with the same domain name with comparable price, I need to let them know so they will not pre charge my credit card by February 1,
Thanks and God bless you.

Hi Wesley,

We’re offering to host the site. The domain is separate, but we can help with that as well. We can make that change closer to the time of launch.

The site development is going well. I reviewed progress yesterday and had a few tweaks before your review. I expect to be able to send you the link on Tuesday and let you review the whole site exhaustively and make change requests. I don’t believe you’ll find anything that will require changes large enough to push the launch into February — hoping to take it live next weekend.

Thanks!
