Gary and I met today. As usual, God had much good stuff.
The two major takeaways:
– Identify the ROOT of your anger.
Luke 3:9
And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
Jesus, anger is a tree that produces no good fruit. Lay down Your ax and curse this tree in me to the root. Cleanse me and break off this branch!
Second revelation: I had been all out of the Spirit around money with Kanbay. I couldnt get peace no matter how much I prayed for God to take it from me. I came to find out that the issue isnt at all with that amount of money.
When I was speaking with Gary, I described the situation and how great it would be to help ministries like his, etc. etc. His first observation was that he never heard how I was going to take care of Laura and the kids. Man, was that penetrating.
God, I confess that I do NOT put the ones you gave me first. I have selfish amibition and vain conceit and want to pursue the works of my heart rather than the people of Yours. I pray the blood of Jesus over this sin and rebuke it from existance. I repent and beg of Your forgiveness. From this day forward, I shall put Laura and the kids first and me second.
