15So Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.
Jesus had just performed the miracle of feeding the 5,000 with bread and fish. V14 says that when the people saw the sign, they said that this was truly the Prophet who is to come to the world. They believed. But, they misapplied it.
When man’s good intentions go wrong, and when he tries to lift you up to the wrong place, you must go get alone with God.
