Dream | Climbing the Mountain

I dreamed I was with a group visiting some mountainous area. We were at a camp or something.

The leaders chose me and a couple of others to help them lead kids up a sheer mountain face. We would be bouled in and walk right up.

I stared at the mountain face. It was terrifying.

We then were on top of that mountain looking back down. I peered over the edge. Again terrifying. I’m not sure why they chose us but I had a big battle going on inside me

Dennis donofrio was our overall leader. As we were watching other groups ascend the same climb up, I saw him up on the top by himself looking down at us. He was laying in his side. I saw the sparkle in his eyes as he looked my way.

I just had to do this.

Now, Dennis means “god of wine” so I am wondering if the LORD wants me to stop drinking wine. But, Dennis Donofrio was the guy who taught me to fight. I wonder if he isn’t Jesus in this, who is teaching me to fight and to lead others up the mountain of God to be fighters.

As I prayed into things this morning, this scripture highlighted to me:

Psalm 71:17-21 NASBS
O God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds. [18] And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come. [19] For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You? [20] You who have shown me many troubles and distresses Will revive me again, And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth. [21] May You increase my greatness And turn to comfort me.

From Small Straws today

Refuse to be overwhelmed by the challenges you face. When you get rattled, you must take an even strain, quiet your soul, and settle down. Ask for wisdom and without a doubt you will receive it. Do not allow fear to overcome your senses. Remember that you are strong and courageous. You are an overcomer. Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
