Fast 30/40

We closed on the house yesterday. I am now officially homeless. It is nice to have a couple of dollars in the bank. I will transfer the majority of the money over to Laura today. This ought to bring some security to her life. As for me, I went shopping for a couple of things – new speakers for the computer and an external hard drive.

It gave me a perspective that I havent had in quite a while. That is that we it would be nice to have a money to go shopping. I got so used to not having any. That just isnt the life that Jesus planned for us.

So today, I get back hard at the job search. I pray for the right opportunity to be made known. RareAgent is the leading candidate for certain. Yesterday, I saw Brian Cork. He has blessed me with this iBook. I like it if I can get past the quirks and transition. Anyway, he asked me if I might consider helping him recruit for Georgia Pacific. He has the largest deal ever that he has done.

The irony is that Peter Bourke and I chatted yesterday am in trying to come up with a good play on RareAgent, and he mentioned that adding some complementary stuff to the bag might be a good approach. He thought that doing sales recruiting would be right in line and that partnering with a recruiter would be ideal. Interesting timing indeed.

This fast has been amazing. I have seen deep cleansing. God has shown me my junk, allowed me to sit in it and then heard my cries for removal. Bless God for that.

It is time to get out of the desert. It is time to step out in faith trusting that God will indeed make my paths straight. I plan on working on RareAgent today. I need for God to give me a good answer to provide to them so that I can start moving forward. I also need to come up with a couple of other things that I can rep that complement what I am doing.

In essence, I am starting my own gig. RareAgent and Brian Cork are my two initial clients.

Could be good. God certainly is.
