Mark 6:53-56
53 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, 55 ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. 56 Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.
There will come a day when we heal so many people that our own fame will proceed us. People will know that we are in the area no different than a rock star and will flock to where we are. People will know the testimony of Jesus before they get close to us. This is a good and yet a dangerous thing.
It is good in that the atmosphere will be super-charged with faith. There will be a big expectancy for healing. The combined increased for faith will ignite healing miracles. People will be healed before a prayer is uttered. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
It is dangerous in that there will be a great temptation to lay claim to what God is doing. Many evils will become opportunities for a fall. Money, sex, pride and other wicked desires of the heart will confront us. People will want to idolize the healer rather than the Healer.
There will even be opportunities for ministry work that is good but not of God. Priorities will be pressed like family, alone time with God, etc. This requires discipline and holiness and increased time with the LORD. Get away by yourself and be with Him to refresh you just like Jesus did from time to time.
Live your life on your knees lest you fall and bring Him down with you.
